I am French, I live in the UK, and I love food.
Actually, I don’t only love it, I adore it. All of it. From all over the world. Sweet and savoury, hot and cold, soft and spicy… But mostly, I love French food. And I love cooking it.
But it’s not always easy to cook French recipes in the UK. Not that there is some kind of curse on English’s soil that prevent any kind of good cooking happening, but because traditional French recipes tend to be very complicated and made with what seem to be never ending lists of obscure ingredients. So I made up my own versions, cheaper and easier. And always authentic.
I’ll explore some traditional recipes, and some more surprising ones too, like North African or Vietnamese dishes, which are extremely popular in France and are entirely part of our multicultural food culture. Think about the curry in England!
I’ll try to show you that French food is a modern, vibrant, multicultural and easy to cook everyday food.
I just can’t wait to start cooking!
